Hello! We submitted the documents online by scanning them. We didnt submit everything required but made sure we had at least one of every category (one proof of income, proof of relationship etc). They didnt ask us to bring any of the documents during biometrics or for any follow-ups — just the claim emails.

I do know someone who was asked to bring extra documents though. It will deoend on what tou submitted.

No worries! Actually it’s a happy ending. My husband, who dropped our passports off, forgot to tick off the notification option (you have to pay if you want SMS or email notifs), so we didn’t know if our passports were ready. After a week (business days) since dropping off, he called VFS and was told our passports were ready!

Hi Sasha! Saw your comment just now. (We have to sort hundreds of comments every week!) We availed of the delivery service, and yes, we were notified by email that the passport was dispatched.

Im just a bit confused because some of the comments here say that they got an email that said they were approved and asked to submit their passports.

Our email doesnt say approved but asked us to submit our passports (which is also consistent with other responses).

I wanted to know our chances since we already bought our tickets (excited much!)

We submitted our requirements online on June 8
Got our biometrics request June 9
Did our biometrics June 13
Got our passport request email June 23
Submitted our passports June 27

Hi, we included everything (as above) with letter of explanation that includes our itinerary for two weeks but we did not have the plane ticket as we were planning to buy the plane ticket only after our visas have been approved (hopeful then but was unsure if we would get approvedor denied). The hotels were already booked by my siblings though. Not really sore about it anymore though. We’ll just travel somewhere else as our leave requests were already approved. Thanks

Just want to ask, did you include your plane ticket reservation or letter of explanation at least in your documents? In my case, I included Itinerary, plane tickets and letter of explanation about my intention to just visit Canada and to enjoy the amazing country.
